From the North

Driving From Taos

  • Drive south on NM-68 S toward Española.   
  • Once in Española, continue on NM-68 / N. Riverside Drive. 
  • Turn left (east) onto NM-76 (Santa Cruz Road). 
  • The church will be on the left, just before McCurdy Road — look for the stone wall.


Driving From Abiquiu

  • Head east on US-84 E toward Española. 
  • Turn left onto Fairview Lane. 
  • Use the right two lanes to turn right onto N. Riverside Drive. 
  • Continue past KFC (it will be on your right). 
  • Turn left onto NM-76 (Santa Cruz Road).
  • The church will be on the left, just before McCurdy Road — look for the stone wall.

From the South

Driving From Santa Fe

  • Take US-84 W / US-285 N and head north toward Española/Taos. 
  • Once in Española, continue on NM-68 / N. Riverside Drive. 
  • Continue on Riverside Drive, then turn right (East) onto NM-76 (Santa Cruz Road). 
  • The church will be on the left, just after McCurdy Road — look for the stone wall.


Using Public Transit

Visitors can take public transit to reach the church using the Blue Bus (North Central RTD). Routes run from Española, Santa Fe, Taos, and Chama, making it easy to reach Santa Cruz from surrounding areas.


  • From Albuquerque: Take the New Mexico Rail Runner north to Santa Fe Capitol Station, then transfer to the Blue Bus using 200 Santa Fe, 160 Santa Clara or 305 Taos Express (weekends only). You may need to transfer at the Española Transit Station onto 150 Chimayo and get off at NM-76 & Santa Cruz de la Cañada.
