Oasis of Peace Youth Group

Oasis of Peace Youth Group

The Oasis of Peace Youth Group was founded in early 1994 by Melinda Gonzales as a cenacle group. The rosary was prayed at times with a handful of youth, and other times, having up to 30 or more youth. It soon became a group and was named.

We continue to offer our services and support by caring and sharing with those around us by volunteering at the Soup Kitchen, organizing blanket drives to help St. Elizabeth's Homeless Shelter, collecting for Soup-er Bowl of Caring to help St. Vincent de Paul Society and San Martin de Porres Soup Kitchen fund, having benefit dinners to help our neighbors in Haiti, and also serving our parishioners at the Church Gala and more.

The ministries we share with the community are: youth and teen choir, ushers, lector/commentator, altar servers, rosary/chaplet for memorial services, Vacation Bible School, pilgrimages, and retreats and Holy Family Association involvement.

Being in the youth group means that we are a united family, and together, memories are created. Recreational activities include Christmas caroling, skiing, bowling, movie nights, birthday celebrations, picnics and more.

Are you looking for something positive for your youth/teen to be involed in? To build their character? Something for the whole family? Contact a youth group family now... See you there!
