What does the Greeters/Ushers Ministry offer the Parish as a Group?

Provide the welcoming of the people attending Mass by being friendly, courteous, and making the people feel comfortable in our church. Pass the collection baskets to allow people to make their contributions and assure that the offertory collection is secured. Distribute the bulletins by placing them in the holders in the south and north chapels and provide a bulletin to the people as they leave in the back of the church. 

Straighten up the Church for the next Mass by lifting the pew kneelers, and neatly arranging the missaletes. Pick up any items left on the pews and take them to the Sacristy and pick up any trash left on the pews and the floor.

We are recruiting men, women and youth to become Greeters/Ushers. Members of the Oasis of Peace Youth Group, pre-confirmation, and confirmation classes should consider becoming Greeters/Ushers. Training will be provided.
